Omi Korea Participates in KPSI Workshop 2026: Advancing a Trusted AI Agent Development Framework for Digital Healthcare
On June 13, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Van, CEO of Omi Korea, participated as a speaker at the KPSI Workshop 2026, held at Hanyang University, South Korea. Organized by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Business Association (SMIBA), the workshop brought together experts, faculty members, researchers, and graduate students working in smart manufacturing, digital transformation, and advanced technologies.

At the workshop, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Van introduced the Healthcare AI-Agent Framework, a framework for developing AI Agent applications tailored to the healthcare sector. Her presentation emphasized that trust, patient safety, and support for healthcare professionals must remain at the core of every stage of AI adoption—from research and validation to deployment and real-world clinical use. The framework also outlines a governance model and a structured implementation roadmap to help ensure the effectiveness, safety, and long-term sustainability of AI applications in healthcare.
A key focus of the presentation was the three AI Agent models that are increasingly being adopted across the healthcare industry: Assistive AI Agents, Collaborative AI Agents, and Autonomous AI Agents. Omi Korea also introduced the "5 Green Lights"evaluation framework for healthcare AI applications, which assesses whether an AI solution: safeguards patient safety, is supported by clinical evidence, improves clinical outcomes, enhances operational efficiency, and can be implemented without creating unnecessary burdens for healthcare organizations.

The presentation also introduced Omi's four-layer technology architecture, consisting of the Configuration Layer, Orchestration Layer, Integration Layer, and Hospital Systems Layer. Designed as a reference architecture, the framework enables hospitals and healthcare organizations to deploy AI in a controlled and scalable manner while ensuring interoperability and compliance with AI, information security, and healthcare IT standards in both South Korea and international markets.
In addition to presenting the framework and implementation model, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Van showcased a real-world application of Omi Medical, an AI Voice Agent solution designed to support patient intake and registration workflows. Following a four-phase implementation roadmap, the solution is designed to monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, including patient safety, system accuracy, reductions in administrative workload for front-desk staff, improvements in the patient experience, and the early identification of high-risk cases requiring timely intervention.


Omi Korea's participation in KPSI Workshop 2026 further reinforces its role in bridging academic research, industry innovation, and the practical implementation of digital transformation in healthcare. The Healthcare AI-Agent Framework proposed by Omi received positive feedback from participating experts, particularly for its emphasis on trustworthiness, governance, and its practical applicability within hospital environments.
