OmiGroup met and exchanged ideas on AI research and development at the Institute of Information Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi
On June 16, 2025, OmiGroup held a working session and partnership discussion with the Institute of Information Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi to explore strategic collaboration directions in education, research, and AI technology development, particularly in the healthcare sector — one of the top priorities in the healthcare digital transformation strategy that OmiGroup is pursuing.

The working session was attended by Mr. Phan Manh Hung – Deputy Chief Technology Officer of OmiGroup, and Mr. Luu The Anh – Director of the Mecong Medical Innovation Center. Welcoming and discussing with the delegation was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son – Deputy Director of the Information Technology Institute and Director of the Advanced International Research Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (AIRC). The meeting also included representatives from MobiFone Global and Mr. Pham Ngoc Duc – Director of the Implementation of Project 06 under the Ministry of Public Security

During the meeting, the parties shared their vision for developing national-level research projects, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence applications in healthcare. The Advanced International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (AIRC) introduced several research directions and AI technology solution groups with potential for proof-of-concept (PoC) implementation, while also expressing readiness to collaborate with OmiGroup and MobiFone Global to bring these solutions into practical application.

During the sharing session, OmiGroup introduced its key solution: the application of AI in healthcare data standardization — one of the critical challenges in the journey toward digitalization and interoperability across Vietnam’s healthcare system.
The solution is designed to automatically identify, classify, transform, and integrate healthcare data from multiple sources, helping improve the efficiency of healthcare management, data analysis, and decision-making in patient care.

MobiFone Global also shared its role in realizing technology solutions supporting Project 06, particularly in the areas of citizen and healthcare data platforms. Meanwhile, the Advanced International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (AIRC) presented in-depth research on core AI technologies and expressed its desire to collaborate with enterprises to commercialize research achievements and bring them to market.
The meeting not only laid the foundation for future research collaborations but also opened up opportunities for developing postgraduate training programs. All parties share the common goal of developing highly applicable AI technology products that serve the community and accelerate healthcare digital transformation in Vietnam.
